Fingerprint Sensor Technology Adopted by Toshiba Infrastructure Systems & Solution Corporation for Contactless

　MoriX Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Morihiko Kubota; hereinafter "MoriX") is pleased to announce that its proprietary fingerprint sensor and authentication algorithm have been adopted by Toshiba Infrastructure Systems & Solutions Corporation (Head office: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture; CEO: Takayuki Konno) for its BISCADE™ Card, a contactless IC card with fingerprint authentication. The BISCADE™ Card enables management of access to departments that handle confidential information, as well as strict control of employee PC logins and access rights.

　While the importance of information security in countries and companies is increasing, there have been a series of incidents in which corporate and personal information has been leaked. In particular, when information related to individuals is leaked, significant amounts of compensation for damages are being paid out in an increasing number of cases, making it an important issue for companies to improve the security of departments that handle confidential information.　

　With the spread of COVID-19, the need for contactless authentication is increasing, and MoriX is developing a fingerprint authentication card that can be applied to both contact and contactless IC card, creating a foundation for safety and security.
